On September 1-2, 2026, Mission Possible staff and other Downtown Eastside community organizations participated in the Be More Than a Bystander Training. In this two day training, participants were equipped with practical tools to support safe environments, including bystander intervention and de-escalation strategies.
This opportunity was brought forth by a first-of-its-kind community partnership between the BC Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA), Mission Possible, and Ending Violence Association of BC (EVA BC) in support of expanding violence prevention and bystander intervention training into community workplaces serving Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

We are extremely grateful for our longstanding partnership with BCMEA, who have supported our mission for over two decades, providing us the opportunity to not only further our programs but to now also create a safer environment for our staff and associates.
