Taseko Mines Limited Continues Partnership with Mission Possible through Beyond Potential Corporate Giving Program

Taseko Mines Limited (Taseko) is a dynamic North American mining company driven to unlock the true value of copper for its investors, employees, communities, and for a complex and changing world. As a leading producer of the metals our society requires to transition to a low-carbon future, Taseko recognizes opportunity and delivers enduring value by developing and operating world-class copper mines and mineral properties in British Columbia and Arizona.

As part of its commitment to 360° of Value, Taseko's Beyond Potential Corporate Giving Program aims to support organizations that help people and communities achieve their full potential.

Mission Possible is deeply grateful for this ongoing partnership. Taseko continues to invest in our community by sponsoring associates in the Employee Readiness Program, presenting the Mission Possible Annual Gala for the second time last November, and sponsoring one of our electric pickup trucks. This past year, they also helped make our first-ever Open House possible.

To continue building on this important partnership, Mission Possible recently hosted a Lunch and Learn event at the Taseko Vancouver office. Graduated associates, Dave (also the 2024 Taseko Beyond Potential Award winner), and Johnson were able to engage with Taseko staff, connecting them closer to our cause.

One of the most meaningful moments of the Lunch and Learn was hearing directly from Johnson who is currently rebuilding his life through employment and community support. Like many who come through Mission Possible’s programs, Johnson faced significant barriers that made it difficult to secure stable employment and regain a sense of direction.

Further, Taseko invited Mission Possible to join them at the Business Council of British Columbia's (BCBC) Strong Economy, Strong Community Dinner on April 8th, 2026. This event recognizes Business Council members and their non-profit and charitable partners, and celebrates all of the ways they work together to create a positive impact. Mission Possible was 1 of 3 featured charitable organizations and will receive $11,000 thanks to the generous supporters and partners at the event.

Sean Magee, VP Corporate Affairs at Taseko, Derek Weiss, Chief Development Officer at Mission Possible, and Dave Goudie, graduated Employment Readiness Program associate, Coach, and Outreach Coordinator joined in on a panel discussion with Jas Johal to discuss this meaningful partnership and how it’s made a real impact in our communities - encouraging other businesses to consider how charitable giving rooted in their company’s values can lead to positive change.

For Taseko, the partnership with Mission Possible reinforces the importance of investing in people and community:

"At Taseko, we believe in investing in grassroots organizations and programs that do the hard work on the ground to empower people and communities to achieve their full potential,” said Sean Magee, VP Corporate Affairs at Taseko. “Mission Possible does just that by supporting individuals in building confidence, skills, and stability, and ensuring that opportunity is accessible for those who are ready to take the next step. We are proud to support Mission Possible and to have built a long-standing partnership based on shared values.”

Taseko’s generosity and unwavering dedication to supporting their community continue to make a huge difference at Mission Possible and in the lives of others! We are so grateful for this partnership and look forward to continuing to make lasting change in the community!
