2026 Women's Team Personal Development Summit

On March 3rd, 2026, the annual Women’s Team Personal Development Summit was held at The Garden Strathcona. This year marks the 6th year that the summit has taken place, inviting our women and non-binary associates together for a day of learning, celebration, and community. 

This year’s theme was “Growth.” Attendees participated in a reflective collage project, asking them to reflect on their “roots.” They considered the experiences, skills, strengths, and sources of confidence that have shaped the person they are today. We asked what draws them in their work or personal life, and if there are any skills, hobbies, or careers they would like to explore. Participants expressed their reflections through collage, searching for images that captured their feelings or symbolized their roots and growth opportunities.

Additionally, we invited four alumni from the Mission Possible Employment Readiness Program to participate in a panel discussion. The panelists, Trudi, Ursula, Vintenish and Aidah, shared insights about their Mission Possible journeys and current careers, followed by a focus on how MP can serve as a resource and a place of growth for current associates.

“I wanted that introduction into the job market, but when I got [to MP], I got more than that.” Vintenish reflects. 

The Women’s Team Personal Development Summit continues to be a stand out event for our associates. It provides a safe space for empowering conversations, encourages self care, and builds confidence. 

Mission Possible's Employment Readiness Program - Women’s Team creates a safe space for women and non-binary people to engage in the program. The Women’s Team program aims to foster a stronger sense of community and safety for participants, and all work shifts and coaching sessions in this track are facilitated by women staff and supervisors.
