Manager of Administration

Position Summary:

The Manager of Administration will play a key role in supporting Mission Possible in empowering people and transforming lives by helping people experience a renewed sense of dignity and purpose through meaningful work. The Manager of Administration will continue to deepen the impact that Mission Possible is making in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, by managing the administration of the resources, including people (staff, supporters, participants), finances, and facilities, and by joining the leadership team in making strategic planning decisions for the organization. 

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Positive demeanor and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with donation processing and financial management
  • Good understanding of BC Employment Standards and employee development strategies
  • Minimum three years’ experience working in office administration
  • Experience working in a non-profit setting an asset
  • Bachelor degree in a related field an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise direct reports
  • Ensure that guests and donors are dealt with in a professional manner
  • Ensure that all MP facilities are maintained and arising issues are resolved in a timely fashion
  • Ensure proper processing of donations and issuing of CRA tax-receipts
  • Assist with bookkeeping and banking transactions
  • Assists in organization and execution of internal events (staff meetings, staff & associate events)
  • Oversee Human Resources management of temporary and permanent staff
  • Ensure that all permanent staff onboarding and training are meeting goals
  • Manage staff benefits and keep records up to date 
  • Ensure financial and accounting standards are being followed and donor database is current
  • Monitor inventory, control, and procurement of office supplies and equipment
  • Assist in the preparation of and provide support for fundraising events
  • Assist Director of Partnerships as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
